Self Publishing
Who owns the copyright of my book?
You do — 100%. The agreement is non-exclusive, so you remain free to publish or sell your work elsewhere as well.
How is my royalty paid?
You earn 100% author royalty on the sales of your book and royalty earnings are paid out every month. You can track every sale on your Author Sales Dashboard.
Where will my book be available?
Across India on Amazon, Flipkart and the Khudkikalam store, plus a Kindle eBook edition for worldwide readers.
Anthology Publishing
What happens if the batch does not fill up?
If a batch is not completed within 45 days, you get a full refund. You can also withdraw before the batch closes for a full refund.
Is the fee refundable after the batch closes?
No. After the batch closes, the fee is non-refundable because production begins.
Do I keep the rights to my poems?
Yes. The copyright of your work always remains 100% yours — you can publish the same pieces elsewhere later.
Hybrid Publishing
How is hybrid different from self publishing?
In self publishing you pay for the services and keep 100% royalty. In hybrid publishing we co-invest in your book — we fund part of the print stock, distribution and marketing — and the net profit is shared, with the larger share going to you.
Is every manuscript accepted for hybrid publishing?
No. Our editorial team reviews every manuscript for quality and market potential. If it is not a fit for hybrid, we will honestly suggest the best alternative, usually one of our self-publishing plans.
Who owns the rights?
Copyright always stays with you. You grant us a 3-year licence to publish and distribute the edition we produce together.
Traditional Publishing
Does traditional publishing really cost nothing?
Yes. Under a traditional contract the publisher bears all costs. Be careful of anyone who asks for money for a “traditional” deal — that is not traditional publishing.
What royalty will I earn?
Typically 10% of MRP on print copies (rising up to 15% on Signature contracts after sales milestones) and 25% of net receipts on eBooks. Exact terms are in your contract.
How long does the selection take?
Our editorial board usually responds within 4–8 weeks. Because of the volume of submissions, only selected authors are contacted.
