Frequently Asked Questions

Does traditional publishing really cost nothing?
Yes. Under a traditional contract the publisher bears all costs. Be careful of anyone who asks for money for a “traditional” deal — that is not traditional publishing.
What royalty will I earn?
Typically 10% of MRP on print copies (rising up to 15% on Signature contracts after sales milestones) and 25% of net receipts on eBooks. Exact terms are in your contract.
How long does the selection take?
Our editorial board usually responds within 4–8 weeks. Because of the volume of submissions, only selected authors are contacted.
What if my manuscript is not selected?
You can still publish professionally through our Self or Hybrid packages — many successful authors start there and later move to traditional contracts.
